Un[Box]ed Karaoke is a 501[c]3 Non-Profit organization that offers an all-inclusive karaoke experience. Karaoke is often perceived as an activity you do with your friends at your favorite watering hole or at home for parties, but it is so much more.
The Voice Knows No Limitations
Un[Box]ed Karaoke is taking this activity, the love of singing without judgement, outside the bar or private homes to places where the elderly, youth and those that have limitations whether physical or mental can also participate.
Mission:
To provide flexible, innovative and personalized options to people who live with physical and intellectual disabilities and their families. To produce a fun night of karaoke that puts the singer professional quality stage – where the experience is both entertaining for the Singer as well as the Audience members. Un[Box]ed Karaoke will promote health, functional independence, inclusion and a fun activity.
Vision:
To help people with illnesses, disabilities and other conditions to develop or improve several skills such as fine motor skills or social skills and help participants expand their knowledge of this art form. We offer karaoke focused in such a way that helps participates to explore new challenges, expand their knowledge of music and singing techniques, learn new skills and enjoy their leisure time in ways that will enhance their health, functional abilities, independence and quality of life. Karaoke is not just for the able bodied.
